Davey Owens

Our Founder

When it comes to helping his clients, Davey thinks of himself as the teacher and the architect. After conversations with his clients about their dreams and goals, he works with them to formulate a plan. He builds plans for his clients that will help them down their path to retirement and to their goals. He firmly believes in proper planning to avoid any confusion in unexpected circumstances.

Born with the soul of an entrepanour, Davey started is first business at the age of 19. He owned several businesses throughout his career and in 1982 entered the financial services industry. As a young boy, Davey watched his own father make-- and lose-- millions of dollars. That life event shaped his desire to help others accomplish their dreams and provide a protective plan for their families.

Davey is very socially conscience and involved in his local community and church. He is a member of the Tallahassee Community Thanksgiving Dinner committee which provides 1,100 meals to those in need on Thanksgiving Day. He has been an Assistant District Supervisor in the Boy Scouts of America and has been involved in raising close to one million dollars for the Leon County School system. Davey was awarded the Martin Luther King Pillar of the Community award as well as Volunteer of the Year at Lawton Chiles High School.

Davey has lived in Tallahassee since 1971 with his wife Marilyn. Davey and Marilyn have been married to 21 years and are very proud of their 7 children and 9 grandchildren.
